Horses & Vines

Cavalli e Vigne is the estate wine of Toyon Farm, a unique terroir in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. It is nestled amid the golden hills and grandfather trees of California’s famed Carneros appellation, which straddles the Napa and Sonoma winegrowing regions.

The name, which translates from Italian as “horses and vines,” reflects the dual nature of this hidden gem in the Napa Valley. In addition to growing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonay, Toyon Farm is also a state-of-the-art equestrian facility, renowned for its exquisite views and serene atmosphere.

Our Story

For devoted equestrians and wine enthusiasts, riding through the vineyard is a transcendent experience for the Bonavito Family. Cavalli e Vigne is the expression of the harmony they feel with the horses and vines at Toyon Farm.

Vineyard

Toyon Farm’s 35 acres of vines lie at the heart of Carneros, bordering Hyde, Cakebread and Bayview Vineyards. First planted in 1993, our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have graced vineyard-designate bottlings from some of the Napa Valley’s finest winemakers.

Wines

Toyon Farm has been deemed a “Carneros Grand Cru,” and Cavalli e Vigne is a reflection of this profound pedigree. Consulting winemaker Ken Bernards guides our classical approach in the cellar. Our estate wines are rich, yet balanced and elegant.
